Team Mission

To promote active lifestyles through cycling, while building confidence, leadership and independence in Pagosa youth.

Team History

The DUST2 team started with the goal of having a NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) high school mountain bike team here in Pagosa. In 2017, DUST2 had a middle school summer program followed by a 5 week fall program. These were used to gauge interest in a future high school team. Enthusiasm was high, so in 2018, DUST2 joined the Colorado High School League. The 2018 team had 24 students (5th -12th grade), with 7 high schoolers racing in the league. The 2022 team grew to 47.

DUST2 strives to instill the love of biking into every student while encouraging them to challenge themselves and try new things. Students are encouraged to try racing, but racing is not a requirement to be on the team.
