Trail Maintenance Team

DUST2 is excited to announce the third annual Treasure Mountain Trail Forest Service partnership project, Thursday, August 17th through Sunday, August 20th!

This is a tremendous opportunity to support our amazing local trail crew led by Tyler Albers as we provide much-needed assistance and support. This year has been a tough one for USFS trail crews across the West as they face a hiring crisis. Because of this trail crews are smaller than usual and need all the support they can get from local organizations. DUST2 and Tyler have decided that the best way to support our trail crew during this years annual Dig Where You Rid Treasure Mountain Partnership Project is to take the extra work of cooking meals off of the crew so that they can extend their work day and be able to relax when they get back to camp.

DUST2 was awarded a $10,000 infrastructure grant from the tourism board with which to purchase a camp kitchen, food and supplies. Our goal this August is to get 5 volunteers every morning and evening to make breakfast and dinner for the trail crew and clean up after. All food, sundries and daily menus will be provided.

This is a great opportunity for families, businesses, team and trail sponsors and student athletes to provide critical assistance for our local trail crew while they clear and maintain our trails!

Gather a group and fill in your slot on the sign up for DUST2 Camp Kitchen duty!

FYI: Thursday afternoon and Sunday morning we will need help with setting up and/or breaking down the kitchen, cooking and cleaning. Friday and Saturdays are meal prep, cooking and cleaning only.

THE GOAL IS TO FILL ALL TRAIL WORKER SLOTS before Friday, August 4, 2023.
